Mercedes-Benz V-Class & Vito (Series 447)

This guide will help you install the Active Suspension Control to lower your air suspension. Please select the appropriate section for your vehicle's model year.

Important Safety Instructions

  • Qualified Personnel: Installation must only be carried out by trained specialist personnel.

  • De-energized State: Installation must be carried out with the system de-energized; to do this, disconnect the battery from the vehicle electrical system (observe the vehicle manufacturer's specifications).

  • Usage: The device is only suitable for the vehicle types and model series mentioned in this guide.

  • Calibration: Depending on the selected lowering, we recommend recalibrating the driving assistance systems to ensure 100% functionality of all components.

  • Approval: Please note that according to German road traffic regulations (StVZO), this is a component requiring registration. Please arrange for this registration as soon as possible.

1. Removing the Trim (All Models 447)

Access to the electronic connection points is behind the dashboard in the driver's area.

  1. Preparation: Open the driver's door.

  2. A-pillar: First, unclip the A-pillar cover and remove it.

  3. Side cover: Also remove the left cover (this is also clipped).

  4. Footwell: Loosen the screws of the lower cover.

2. Electronic Connection (Models up to 2023)

Valid for vehicles from model year 2019 with factory-fitted AIRMATIC.

  1. Data Distributor: Plug the data distributor connector into a free slot in the distributor with the wires: Green/White + Green. Important: If all slots are occupied, the wires must be soldered in parallel.

  2. Ground: Screw the ground sleeve to the existing ground point.

  3. Power Supply (OBD): Connect the red wire to Pin No. 16 on the OBD port. When using terminals, always ensure they are crimped with pliers.

  4. Commissioning: Before connecting the control unit, switch on the ignition, wait until all systems have started up, and finally plug in the control unit.

3. Electronic Connection (Facelift II - from model year 2024)

Valid for Facelift II vehicles (Code XM7) with factory-fitted AIRMATIC.

  1. Localization: Locate the Airmatic control unit (immediately visible) and remove it from its clip holder to facilitate installation.

  2. Plug & Play: Disconnect the large main plug from the control unit and install the Plug & Play adapter in between. Ensure clean routing to avoid bending any pins.

  3. CAN Connection: Plug the 2-pin connector into a free slot in the data distributor (wires: Green/White + Green).

    • IMPORTANT: For Facelift II, always use the data distributor located hidden behind the Airmatic control unit. Do not use any other distributor to ensure correct profile recognition.

  4. Bus Rest: After installation, the vehicle must remain locked for approx. 5 minutes until the bus rest period begins. Only then start the vehicle and check that no error appears on the dashboard.

4. Completion & Reversion

  • Securing: Stow all cables carefully. It is recommended to secure the control unit to the lower trim (e.g., with cable ties) so that it remains accessible to the customer without having to remove the trim again.

  • Bypass Plug: The system (for Facelift II) comes with a bypass plug. This can be used to bypass the module and restore the original state without removing the wiring harness.

  • Reversion: In case of removal, the values in the app must first be set back to 0 mm.
