Safety Instructions & Preparation

  • Installation must only be carried out by trained specialist personnel.

  • Installation must be performed with the power disconnected (e.g., disconnect the battery from the vehicle electrical system).

  • According to StVZO (German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations), this is a component that requires registration; registration must be carried out as soon as possible.

  • Depending on the chosen lowering, recalibration of the driver assistance systems is recommended to ensure 100% functionality of all components.

1. Dismantling the Trim

  1. Preparation: Open the driver's door. The necessary connection points are located under the carpet.

  2. Door Sill Trim: First, unclip the door sill trim and remove it.

  3. Loosen Seat: To remove the carpet, the seat must be tilted back. To do this, remove the screws (starting with the two rear ones) and also loosen the necessary screws at the front.

  4. Remove Carpet: Carefully pry the carpet out from under the trim panels. A bracket in the driver's footwell behind the pedals must be unhooked.

  5. Locate Control Unit: The control unit is located directly in the door sill opening. Remove the plug and the cover to access the wires.

2. Electrical Connections

Depin the wires according to the following table and insert the corresponding cables from our wiring harness. The original wires that were previously depinned are to be inserted into the supplied 2-pin housings.

Pin No. (Original) Original Cable Color New Cable (Wiring Harness) Housing Connection (2-pin)

3. Completion & Function Test

  • Stow the cables carefully and reinsert the pin row into the housing until it clicks into place.

  • Connect everything to the control unit.

  • Perform a function test before reassembling the trim in reverse order.

  • Important note on decommissioning: In case of removal, you must first set all values back to 0 mm in the app.
